Doctrinal Statement

The following affirmation demonstrates our beliefs in the profound importance of a true confession of faith; however, let it always be remembered that one may have right ideas about God and be in wrong relation to Him.  A Christian is not simply an individual who is dedicated to a certain theological system of thoughts or a particular ethical code.  A Christian is one who has responded with faith to God's saving act in Jesus and who is committed in personal trust and life venture to Him.  Doctrine and ethics both play an essential role in the life of a Christian; however, doctrines describe the facts which believers encounter in entering this life-giving relationship with Jesus Christ and one's behavior both follows from believing these truths and serves to maintain the vitality of the relationship.  Without both, it is impossible to know The Living God fully.  We do hereby set forth, therefore what we believe to be indispensable tenets of the Christian faith.

I believe in God, the Father Almighty, the Maker of Heaven and Earth; and in Jesus Christ, His Son, Our Lord.

Conceived by the Holy Spirit
Born of the Virgin Mary
Crucified, Dead and Buried
The Third day He rose again from the dead
He ascended into heaven and sitteth at the right
hand of God, the Father Almighty
From thence He shall come to judge the quick and the dead.
